Setting Reminders

There is an option to set deadlines and reminders for your tasks. You can create a task with a deadline with a reminder that appears only once, at a specific time, or create a recurring task which shows reminders at the set intervals.

To create a task with a deadline you need to click the “Edit and Assign” button below an existing task on the home page, or click “More options” when creating a new ToDo. Then type in the time and date you need to set the reminder to in the Set a deadline/reminder field.

After you click the Save button, the task with a deadline will be marked with a clock icon. If the deadline is not met, the task will be marked with a fire icon as an urgent one.

When the task with a deadline expires, ToDoBot sends you a message with a reminder. Here you can mark the task as completed, set a reminder in an hour or on the next day.

If you want to create a recurring reminder you need to choose the frequency at which the bot will remind you of the task in the Set a deadline/reminder field. To do so, you need to start from ‘Every...’ and pick the most suitable periodic option.

After you save the task, it will be shown on the home page with a repeat icon.

Below the task you can see how often the task is repeated and the time and date of the next reminder. When the time of the reminder comes, the bot sends you a message and marks the task with a fire icon as an urgent one.

If you click the complete button, the reminder will be moved to the next set time, and the ToDo will stay uncompleted.

If you don’t need the task anymore, you can delete it using the
 button on the right.
