FAQ

Why ToDoBot?

The bot can help you manage small day-to-day tasks without leaving Slack. It is a great option for the tasks that are too small to be tracked by more complex task management systems. You won’t need to switch between different apps all the time to keep track of your ToDos. All the tasks will be in one place – in Slack.
Moreover, ToDoBot is one of the few task tracking apps for Slack that allow you to work with your clients or partners in Slack shared channels. This will allow you to work together more effectively, to create shared ToDo lists and track the progress of completing the tasks.

Can I use ToDoBot to manage my personal tasks?

ToDoBot is a great option for creating personal ToDos, you can create ToDos for the tasks you get in messages or in Slack channels, add any extra tasks that you have, or even add some random routine stuff you need to keep in mind. The list of your ToDos will be displayed on the Home Tab of the app. Apart from creating personal tasks, it is also possible to share the ToDos and assign them to different users to make the process of performing them more convenient.

Is it possible to use ToDoBot while working in a team?

Yes, you can use ToDoBot for collective work as well. The bot can be added into Slack channels and even to the channels shared with members of other teams. There you will be able to work together with your colleagues, clients and partners, create shared roadmaps for your projects and track the progress easily.

How can I sort and prioritize the tasks?

There are different options for sorting and prioritizing your tasks. It is possible to add Filters, Lists, Views, Pages, etc., so that the tasks will be sorted by different categories. It is also possible to move the most urgent or important tasks to the top of the list using the Set on fire option.

Is there a guide on how to use the bot?

Yes, you can check out our Help page, if you have any problems or questions about ToDoBot.

Can I try the bot for free?

Yes, there is a free plan that you can use, the only limitation is that it’s possible to have only up to 10 open ToDos. If you need to create more ToDos you may need to upgrade to a paid option.

What is the difference between the free plan and the paid ones?

The free plan allows you to have only 10 open ToDos at the same time. In order to be able to create unlimited ToDos, you need to move to one of the paid plans. In the “up to 5 people” and “up to 20 people” plans you can choose the 5 or 20 people, who will be able to use the unlimited open ToDos. In the “Unlimited Users” version there is no need to set up the users with the access to unlimited ToDos, as all of them will be able to use this option.

Can I cancel the paid subscription?

Yes, you can do it at any time. For tips on how to do it, see the How to cancel ToDoBot subscription section.

Who will have access to ToDoBot?

ToDoBot is open to anyone with an open Slack account belonging to your Slack workspace. It is also possible for users of shared channels, who don’t belong to your workspace, to view the ToDos posted in the specified channel.

Is my data secure?

At ToDoBot we deeply care about the security of our user’s data. We follow the OWASP best practices, encrypt data at-rest and in transit, take regular audits and don’t store anything that we don’t need for ToDoBot operation.

How can I report a bug or request a feature?

You can report bugs and suggest features on the forum in the Feature request and Feedback section.
